Fresh Squeezed: Clock Hands Strangle

One of the newer labels in the city just happens to be Chocolate lab Records. One of there upcoming releases is the second album of Florida's Clock Hands Strangle called Distaccati. As a writer, Todd Portnowitz the unique ability to turn a phrase. He can invent a metaphor out the simplest of moments and when strung together this metaphors become melodies and stories and songs. Their 2007 debut, Redshift/Blueshift (Team Grizzly) was heavily thematic and laced with all the honesty and adventure you would expect from indie folk music.

From what I have heard from Distaccati the band has managed to continue on their path of literary and creative indie rock. The album will be released later this Spring, but the band is appearing on Chic-a-go-go and Daytrotter this month. We also received a sneak peak from the album from Chocolate Lab and we are sharing it with you.
