Listening:
1. Cecada: This band from Tulsa, OK is currently recording their debut full-length album. Their e.p, Fog at Midnight, is available for listen at their MySpace page. Soothing with haunting vocals.
2. Ramona Falls: Brent Knopf from Menomena, his side project. Really, buy the entire 2009 package from Barsuk Records. You won’t be sorry. Listen to: I Say Fever (mp3)
3. Nick Cave and Warren Ellis, The Road soundtrack: A fantastic writing soundtrack. All the dis-ease of a Cave/Ellis compilation minus the vocals. The CD releases in January, but a few songs are posted at the Cave/Ellis site.

2. The Nook: This seems the closest I’m going to get to a useable eBook reader. I don’t agree with having to purchase DRM titles through a single source (ahem…Kindle…ahem), so The Nook might have to do. Or the Cool-er reader.
3. Cienfuegos: this is a forthcoming flash-fiction collection from Chris Deal. The publisher hasn’t officially announced it yet, so I’ll link to this tread at The Velvet, where many of the stories were drafted.

Getting:
1. Baby Leg, Brian Evenson: “Each copy of this collectible will be signed and numbered. Brian will also be dipping his writing hands in blood or some bloodlike substance, handling and fingerprinting the covers to make each copy truly unique.”
